FAFO is a FAIL

FAFO damages class solidarity based on economic, racial and other forms of class and has weaponized apathy towards the prolonged genocide in Palestine, ICE detentions targeting undocumented people of color, sowed division that spreads hate instead of knowledge and is reactionary, rather than proactive and productive.  FAFO is not useful to the cause of class consciousness and solidarity as it appeals to the most toxic parts of American culture for shits and giggles that place content creators on the wrong side of history on issues that we should be fighting against.

So what if even a significant minority of an ethnic group voted for trump?  That doesn’t justify collective harm against said group and to think so is fucked up.  It is trump, and trump alone, as well as his cronies, for policies resulting in genocide and even broader mass incarceration, he just fooled a majority of Americans. 

And remember that you aren’t perfect, the members of your group who share your identities aren’t perfect either.  Solidarity does not demand perfection, but it does require empathy and a deeper understanding of why people behave in such a manner.

We fight for scraps from a table that should be destroyed, this is systemic and by design.  So to denigrate entire groups of people for trends that the group partakes in is reactionary and unproductive.

Solidarity, understanding, and empathy are how we build coalitions to fight fascism, oligarchy, and the interests of the ruling class, and how the US can actually become a “great” nation and society.
